I am a Shopaholic and when it comes to makeup, I usually want to buy anything and everything. This is the reason that whenever something new is launched in the market I grab 1-2 shades from the collection. The same happened with the new lip products that were launched by Lakme a few weeks back. Lakme launched Lip Tints in their absolute range months back and now Lakme has come up with a Product called Lip Tint Matte which Lakme names it as ‘Lakme Absolute Lip Pout’. Today I will be sharing my views on Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Matte Magenta Magic.
The product is available in 6 different shades: Magenta Magic, Pink Fantasy, Raving Red, Starlet Red, Tangerine Touch and Victorian Rose. Though I am personally not a very big fan of Lakme products this product appealed to me and so I bought 2 of the shades. I wanted to buy more, but as I was ordering online, there were only 2 options that appealed me. The other color that I have is Raving Red.

It’s time for the backstage trend to take center stage as Lakme introduces its very own playful take on lip tints. Say hello to Lakme Absolute Lip Pout- a chubby lip color pencil that gives you a luscious tint with a scintillating matte finish. Available in 6 classic matte colors, Lakme Absolute Lip Pouts is your go-to lip tint for that effortlessly vibrant and playful look.
- Quick and easy application
- Matte finish with excellent color pay off
- Comfortable application
- Retractable pencil that required no sharpener
- Vibrant matte shades
How to Apply:
Pull out the cap, Start applying from the center of your upper lip.
Work from the center towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth then Glide across the entire bottom lip.
Like most of the chubby pencils, this too comes in a cylindrical tube with a matte silver colored cap. The color of the tube resembles the exact color of the product. The packaging of the product is nice but the thing that I liked about the chubby pencil is that this comes in a retractable form. This not only saves time which gets wasted on sharp the product but it also saves a lot of product that gets wasted during sharpening the pencil.
My take on Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Matte Magenta Magic:
When I got the product, I didn’t know the quantity of the product and so I assumed that the product will be equal to the length of the chubby pencil. But this is not the case; the actual product is basically half the length of the pencil. This disappointed me a bit as the company is trying to fool the customers by showing a larger sized pencil which is giving a lesser product. Pigmentation wise, Magenta Magic is pretty awesome, it is highly pigmented and a single swipe of the color does wonders on the lips. The color is true to its name, it is a dark berry magenta pink which can look good on a ton of Indian skin tones.
The company claims the product to be easy to apply and comfortable to wear, which is true up to a certain extent. The product is indeed super easy to apply due to its pencil form, but as far as the texture is concerned, it is not at all creamy. It’s not too dry either, but a little effort needs to be applied which applying the color on to the lips. Being matte, the color is a bit drying, but if used over a lip balm, it does not feel uncomfortable. When applied directly on to the lips, it not only feels dry but also makes the lips look dry which is not good for a perfect pout.
Staying power of the color is good, it is not amazing and it definitely cannot stay for 10-12 hours, but yes the color can stay easily up to 4-5 hours with small meals. When a full meal is taken, the color fades from the inner sections on the lips but remains on the outer section giving an illusion of ombre lips.
Overall, I am not very impressed with the texture and staying power of the product but it definitely has some good points which might be considered while buying these lip tints.

Would I buy this product again?
I might try 1-2 more shades from this range, but I might not buy the same color again.
