Wet and Wild lipstick: Pink Suga

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today I will be writing about a product that I brought with great expectations but unfortunately the color I selected did not suit me, nor did I like the formulation of the product. The product I have today is a lipstick from Wet N Wild and the color I have is called Pink Suga. Initially when I read the name I assumed that the name is Pink Sugar and its mis printed as Pink Suga, but the product is actually named as Pink Suga. Another point about the name of the lipstick is that the product is not pink.

Product quantity: 3.3 gm

Price:  INR 316

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black colored tube with a transparent lid. The lipstick bullet is slightly outside the actual packaging which makes it risky to put the lid back, it has to be done very carefully. Otherwise the lid is very sturdy which makes the lipstick travel friendly.

Ingredients:

Product Description:

This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture.

My take on the product:

The company claims a lot of things about the lipstick like it’s a 4 hour long wearing lipstick, it glides smoothly and feels like feather on the lips. Unfortunately none of these claims were true.

Color: Pinks Sugar is not as the name suggests, it’s not a shade of pink instead it is a nude shade lipstick which makes you look as if you don’t have lips or that you are lifeless. The color looks a little better if you have a gloss on, but even after a gloss the color won’t suit everyone. Instead there are very few girls who will be able to carry this color. The color didn’t suit me at all.

Pigmentation: This is the only good thing about the lipstick, its pigmentation. The color is highly pigmented; single swipe is all you need to get the color.

Texture: The lipstick has a very difficult texture to work with, it is not at all creamy, and it’s really difficult to apply this lipstick. A lot of force is required to make the lipstick look non-streaky and evenly applied.

Staying power: The staying power of the lipstick is something which is correctly claimed by the company; yes the color does stay for 4 hours. The lipstick is transferable which might reduce the staying power of the color which can be increased by blotting the extra color.

Overall the staying power and the pigmentation of the color is good, but what’s the use of such pigmentation and staying power when efforts have to be made just to make the lip color look perfect on the lips and when it makes you look lifeless.

Swatches:

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Good pigmentation
  • Decent staying power
  • Travel friendly packaging

Cons:

  • Awful color makes you look lifeless
  • Non creamy
  • Effort has to be made just to apply the color
  • Makes my lips dry

Would I buy this product again?

No! After using this color once, I might not even give it a second chance, buying a new one is a complete No. But yes, I still do trust wet n wild and so I might try some other shade from this range.

Do I recommend this?

No! This color is not even worth trying

Rating: 🙂 🙂 (these marks are just for the pigmentation and the staying power)
