My Experience with Suede Matte Lipcolour Satin Scarlet:
The shade Satin Scarlet is a beautiful blue-toned red lipcolor which flatters many Indian Skin tones. I like using red lipsticks on a regular basis and this is one of the shades I gravitate towards. As the name of the lipstick suggests, it is a suede formula which feels super soft and creamy to apply. The color does take a couple of minutes to dry and become matte but due to the formula, it is not completely matte. It is kind of a comfortable matte formula which do not dry lips.
The shade Satin Scarlet is a bright red and hence care must be taken while applying the color as even a small mistake in the application can clearly be seen. I personally like to use the shade with a lip liner in order to make the application more polished. Once dry, the formula is non-transferable up to a certain extent which means that it might transfer or fade with oily food. The color becomes visibly lighter after a full oily kind of a meal especially from the inner sections of the lips.
Satin Scarlet, unlike Crepe Coral, do not make my lips feel dry and do not accentuate the fine lines on my lips. The color looks beautiful from far away as well as when observed up close.
Overall, I did like this particular shade from the Sugar Suede Matte Lipcolor collection. I am not exactly a fan of all the shades from the collection but the shade Satin Scarlet worked for me. It is a beautiful red lipcolor. If you are looking for a red matte lipcolor which do not dry your lips then this one is worth a try.
Pros of Suede Matte Lipcolour Satin Scarlet:
- The formula feels comfortable on the lips, this particular one somehow does not dry my lips
- Decently affordable
- Beautiful red color which looks good on many Indian skin tones
- Does not feel heavy on lips
- Good Pigmentation
- The formula feels super smooth on application
- Dries quickly leaving a semi-matte color on the lips
Cons of Suede Matte Lipcolour Satin Scarlet:
- Not so amazing staying power. Though the actual color does seem to withstand small meals, color in the inner sections of the lips starts to fade after meals.
- As it is a bright color, the lips might look weird if the lipstick is not applied properly
4/5 (This is not my favorite red lipcolor but I definitely like it more than the shade Crepe Coral from the same collection)
