Nykaa So Matte Cranberry Sangria

Nykaa So Matte Lipstick Cranberry Sangria, REVIEW

Today I will be sharing my experience with Nykaa So Matte Cranberry Sangria. This is one of the 5 polishes which I shared in my June Makeup Haul. I have already reviewed the shades Trusty Rusty and Notorious Red on the blog. I have also tried the other shades I have and my experience and views differ from shade to shade.

Let’s see how the shade Cranberry Sangria worked for me.

  • INR 399 for 4.2 gm of product, which is the full size (BUY HERE)
  • INR 199 for 1.5 gm of product, So Matte mini Lipstick (BUY HERE)
Product Description:

Give a radiant touch to your whole look with Nykaa’s So Matte! Mini Lipstick collection. Experience the same plush, pigment-rich formula in Mini Version so it becomes a staple in your bag! The formulation delivers flawless coverage and assures precise application for a perfectly contoured pout. The creamy formula gives your lips a great matte finish. So up to the ante with a sophisticated finishing touch to set off those glamorous evenings!

  • Smooth texture!
  • One stroke application
  • Subtle shades to enhance your natural lip colour.

No ingredient list can be found on the packaging or the Nykaa’s website. I have the mini version of the shade, so I am not too sure about the ingredient list being mentioned on the packaging of the full sized lipstick.

Like their full-sized versions, these Mini So matte! lipsticks also have all black packaging. The packaging is not so cute, but the mini size of the lipstick makes it look adorable. All black packaging makes it difficult to recognize the color from outside. To make this easier, the lipstick has a colored sticker pasted on its bottom representing the actual color of the lipstick and its shade number. The mini lipsticks do not have the shade name written on the sticker which is only written on the outer packaging.

My Experience withNykaa So Matte Cranberry Sangria:

This cranberry lipstick from Nykaa’s So Matte! collection looks slightly different from the swatch shown on the website. To be completely honest I did buy the color randomly and by just seeing it in the bullet I was sure that I won’t like the color. Suprisingly I loved the color on me and now after using it and wearing it a couple of times, it has become my favourite shade from all the 5 colors I own. The color might not look good in the bullet, but on the lips it is a beautiful cranberry shade which goes well with both Indian as well as Western outfits. It also looks good without a full face of makeup.

Like all the other colors from the collection, this one too is transferable and so does not last for long hours (especially with a big meal). But, it is easy to re-apply and it does not dry lips. Also, the shade have great pigmentation and a single swipe gives an opaque color. The formula is not completely matte. It is a light and easy to wear formula.

Overall Experience:

I am in love with this color. Though it is not exactly as shown in the pic on the Nykaa website, but, it looks absolutely beautiful on the lips. This is my favorite color from all the 5 shades I have from the collection. I won’t wear it on a daily basis, but for a special day or an event, it is perfect. If you are looking for an affordable cranberry/maroonish lipstick then this is a good option.
