Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Today I will be reviewing about one of the latest launches from L’Oreal. A few days back L’Oreal launched some of their new products in their Infallible range in India and one of their launches which attracted me was their Silkissime eyeliners. I saw these eyeliners online and just by seeing the pictures on the website and considering the name of the product ‘Silkissime’ I thought that these seem pretty soft and smooth.
I do have many eyeliners but a majority of those does not work for me in the lower waterline and I wanted something that works in the water line to give me a pop of color, so I bought one of the colors. These Silkissime eyeliners are available in 8 different color options: Gold, Black, True Teal, Cobalt Blue, Charcoal, Silver, and Plum. I loved all the shades but I ordered just one of the shades in order to try the formula. The color I ordered was Cobalt Blue.

I am in love with the packaging of the liner. Though I would have loved it even more if it would have been a retractable liner but the colored pencil and the gold rim on the top make it a perfect piece to flaunt on your vanity. Unlike other liners the pencil in which the product comes is fully colored (in the color of the actual product) which makes it super easy to pick the desired color without wasting much time while digging through the piles of eyeliners. The liner pencil is embossed with the product name and other useful information with golden color which makes it look extremely high end.
The actual tip of the product is covered with a transparent lid which makes it even cuter. But one has to be careful while applying the lid back onto the pencil as if not done carefully; it might damage the tip of the pencil. Another thing one has to be careful about is sharpening the pencil, though it is not very difficult to get a sharp point but the formula is super soft which sometimes might cause wastage of the product. Also, the gold rim on the top of the pencil can sometimes make it a little difficult to sharp. Other than this the packaging of the product is amazing and it makes me feel to flaunt the pencil on my dresser.

My take on L’Oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Cobalt Blue:
Will it serve the purpose? Or will it live up to the 16-hour claim? Will it be soft enough? These were the questions that were in my mind when I tried the liner for the first time, and thankfully the product passed with flying colors in the majority of the departments. The pencil is super soft and glides on like a dream. It is highly pigmented and is easy to apply in the water line too.
As claimed by the company, one single stroke is sufficient to get gorgeous eyes, which is especially true for the upper lids but as far as the water line is concerned 2-3 coats might be required to get the desired color. This is particularly true in my case because my eyes tend to become watery whenever I try to apply something on my waterline. But the color does not fade or smudge in the water line, forget smudging on the lids. If not rubbed, the liner does stay for good 9-10 hours on the lids, but the 16-hour claim is not exactly true.
The color cobalt blue is true to its name and is a beautiful shade of blue that instantly brightens up the eyes making them appear bigger and prettier. But I would suggest not go by the color chart given on the websites as the color is not exactly same as shown on the site.
Overall I am super happy with my purchase and would love to buy all the colors from the range, but this time may be from the counter 😉
