LYN Nail Lacquer Don’t Brick My Heart: Review and Swatches

How are you all and how your week is going, my week is going super hectic but thankfully it is giving me chance to try on new products for myself. Today I will be writing about LYN Nail Lacquer Don’t Brick My Heart. The name of the color tells about the shade of the color. If not exactly, it does help to recognize the basic shade of the polish. Don’t brick my heart is a brown brick color that looks good for everyday use. It is a color that can easily be worn to office as well.

As I mentioned in my previous article regarding the pink color called Orchid Be With U 4Ever, these polishes have a rectangular shaped bottle which helps to recognize the color even if the bottle is seen from the top. This actually makes storing these polishes easier as they can be stored even inside a drawer and still the required color can be selected without any difficulty.

My take on LYN Nail Lacquer Don’t Brick My Heartt:

The formulation of all the polishes from this brand is different and I can say this because I have 8 of these and none of them are exactly same. Don’t brick my heart have a decent sized brush and good pigmentation. 2 coats of the polish are required to get a fully opaque color. The first coat might appear a bit streaky but thankfully after applying the second coat, the streakiness disappears. The consistency allows easy application of the polish and the dry time of the polish is also good. The polish even stays for a good 3-4 days with no chipping. It only fades from the top sections of the nails.

So, if everything about this polish is good, then it must be a perfect polish! But this is not the case, at least not with this color. When I applied the color I was highly impressed by the way it applied, the way it looked on my nails and the way it stayed on my nails, but when I removed the polish, I was shocked. My nails were completely yellow. They were so yellow as if I was suffering from jaundice and this all happened due to this color.

The color somehow made my nails yellow in such a serious way that no other polish did till now. Maybe I was wrong as I didn’t apply a base coat, but still, I didn’t expect it to be yellow. I actually saw a video for LYN nail lacquers and it stated that the polish has air permeable properties which prevent your nails from undesired yellow staining, but this is not the case with this polish.

Pros of LYN Nail Lacquer Don’t Brick My Heart:

• Affordable
• Bottle is perfectly shaped
• Decent pigmentation
• Stays well for 3-4 days without chipping

Cons of LYN Nail Lacquer Don’t Brick My Heart:

• If a base coat is not used, the color might turn your nails yellow
• Streaks are visible after the first coat

I loved the way this color looks on me, but I will definitely not purchase this particular one again.
