A few months back Wet n Wild launched their products on Nykaa and being a shopaholic I grabbed few of them. Wet n Wild is really famous for its affordable and high-quality products. I have tried their eyeshadows and blushes as well, but this time one of the products that I really wanted to try was their nail paints. I ordered ‘Wet n Wild Shine Nail Color Grape Minds Think Alike’ which was pretty affordable as compared to polishes from some other brands.
Price: Rs 135 for 12.3 ml of product (BUY HERE)
Product Description:
Wet N Wild’s claim to fame! This epic nail polish was launched in 1979 and it is one of the most top-selling product. Not only are they just straight up awesome, but these are available in every color, texture, and effect that you can possibly think of: creams, metallics, glitters, you name it! After decades of these flying off the shelves, we’re pretty sure you already have a couple stashed away, but with so many colors, you can always add a new one or double up! Everyone we talk to agrees this is simply the best nail polish brand out there.
Features :
- Purse Pride! New improved formula and packaging!
- High-shine finish in every color imaginable!
- 3-Free: No Formaldehyde, Toluene, or Phthalates.
- Still the #1 selling nail polish in the market!
Ingredients:
Mentioned on the back of the bottle.
Packaging:
The polish comes in a regular looking glass bottle, but what I liked about the packaging was the differently shaped cap. The cap of the polish is straight from one side but curved from the other. This is nothing too special, but it gives an additional detail to the packaging. The wand of the polish is decently sized one. It takes two strokes to completely cover the nail with the given wand. The lid of the polish is tight and apart from the glass bottle, the polish seems good to travel with.
My Experience with Wet n Wild Shine Nail Color Grape Minds Think Alike:
These Wet n Wild polishes are only available in 12 color options in India as compared to more than 20 shades available on the brand’s official website (the color options on both the website seems completely different)
Color: The shade ‘Grape Minds Think Alike’ is a good looking berry nail color which is a good option for fall. Though the color looks beautiful during the fall and winter season, I do like to use the color occasionally in spring season too. The color is completely free of shimmers but has a regular nail polish shine to it.
Pigmentation: The color does not come out on the nails as seen in the bottle. It takes good 2-3 coats to get the desired dark and opaque color on the nails.
Texture: The polish has good consistency and is easy to apply, but on the first coat the color applies streaky and does not seem too flattering.
Staying Power: This is another dud for the formula. The polish does not even stay good for 3 days even with 2 coats. The color starts to chip and fade and even become streaky just after the very first day.

Overall Experience:
I loved everything I have tried from Wet n Wild so far and this is the only product which I did not like. The color is beautiful and the price is affordable, but the formula is not as per my expectations.
I won’t buy this shade again, but I would like to buy another color, a bright one this time in order to compare the formulas.
Pros of Wet n Wild Shine Nail Color Grape Minds Think Alike:
- Beautiful color
- Decent sized applicator
- Affordable
- Good consistency
Cons of Wet n Wild Shine Nail Color Grape Minds Think Alike:
- Bad staying power
- Streaky on the first coat
- Not so great pigmentation
Rating: 2.5/5
It’s a pity that the formula is not so good, because the color is really nice! 😉
