It has been more than a year since I bought NYX Cosmetics Vivid Bright Eyeliners in 8 shades. I wanted to swatch all the available shades on my blog but unfortunately, the shade red was out of stock. Though it is now available but I never ended buying the shade again. Today I will be sharing my experience with the shade ‘Vivid Halo’ from the collection.
INR 700 for 2 ml of product (The shade Vivid Halo is currently unavailable on Nykaa which is only showing 6 shades out of the 9 available in the collection, but can be bought from Amazon. I personally would not recommed buying it from Amazon as it is available at an excessively high price of INR 1900, that too after discount)
Line your lids with vibrant color with our new Vivid Brights Liners. Available in nine incredible shades, these pro-level liners deliver instant and intense color payoff.
List of ingredients is mentioned on the outer packaging. It is also mentioned on NYX’s official website. The mentioned ingredients are:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Aminomethyl Propanol, Xanthan Gum, Triethyl Citrate, Triethylhexyl Trimellitate, Ethyl Lactate, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol. MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Ultramarines (CI 77007).
These vivid eyeliners from NYX comes packed in a cardboard box with the actual picture of the product and all the details about the product mentioned on the box. The actual liner has a black colored long screw on lid with the applicator and a colored base. This particular shade ‘Vivid Halo’ is a yellow colored eyeliner and hence the base of this is yellow.
My Experience with the shade Vivid Halo:
As I have already mentioned, Vivid Halo is a yellow colored eyeliner which looks good on its own as well as on top of a black eyeliner. To be completely honest I don’t use this shade regularly but whenever I use it, I love the way it looks. The product has good formula as well as pigmentation. One single swipe gives a fully opaque and smooth line.
I have had this product for more than a year and the formula and texture of the product has changed in these past months. The liner is still completely useable but it has become a little thick.
I do like the staying power of the product as well. Until you rub your eyes or manually remove liner, it stays without budging. It is kind of waterproof as well. If rubbed while wet, it starts to leave patches but without rubbing it can withstand rain or splashes of water.
I do like the color and the formulation as well. But I won’t be buying this particular shade again. First because it is pricey, secondly yellow is not something I gravitate too much for. I do like a pop of yellow sometimes but that I can achieve through other products as well. But if you are a fan of yellow on the lids and if you have a chance to grab this shade, then it is a good buy (especially if bought on discount).
