Lakme has recently launched primer + matte lipstick revamping their previous 9to5 matte range. They also introduced some new colors to the range and I have picked two of them. Today I am going to review ‘Lakme 9to5 primer + matte lipstick Crimson Cue’. I have already reviewed the shade Ruby Rush earlier.
Lakme says: Lakme’s new matte lipstick comes with a built-in primer that comfortably glides onto lips. Smoothen and prep lips to lock in color for a long-wearing matte finish.
Price: 480 INR for 3.6 g (BUY HERE)
- Sets a flawless base and evens out your lips for smooth application
- Highly pigmented shades that have rich and intense color payoff
- Delivers a fine matte finish on your lips that lasts up to 12 hrs.
My experience with Lakme 9to5 primer + matte lipstick Crimson Cue:
Lakme didn’t change their typical 9to5 packaging this time too. Nothing new to say about these packaging as we are very much aware of everything about these. The Same glossy rose gold tube but yes, they are travel-friendly and sturdy.
The shade Crimson Cue is quite similar to the shade ruby rush. It is a tone up shade of ruby rush you can say. But definitely, it is less neonish than ruby rush. The perfect blend of pink and red makes it just gorgeous. As this is not very neonish it can be pulled off by brown skin tones too.
The color settles semi-matte finish and wearing time is long enough, say 6-7 hours without a heavy meal in between. The shade crimson cue is nicely pigmented and 2 swipes are more than enough to cover the lips. Crimson Cue gives an opaque finish and doesn’t look patchy on lips. But lip exfoliation is required before application.
Pros of Lakme 9to5 primer + matte lipstick Crimson Cue:
- Easily available
- Nicely pigmented
- Gorgeous shade
- Mild smell
- Long staying
- Glides on lips without tugging
- Gives a semi-matte finish
Cons of Lakme 9to5 primer + matte lipstick Crimson Cue:
- Shade may not suit very dark skin tone
- Same old packaging
Overall this is a budget-friendly yet long-staying lipstick. And there are so many shades in the range to choose from. You will definitely get a shade of your choice.
