Dudhsagar Waterfalls, Goa: My experience and OOTD

Hello friends!

Today I will be sharing with you all another outfit that I wore during my trip to Goa. This is the outfit which I wore during my visit to the famous Dudhsagar waterfalls. During our visit to Goa, we were staying in  south Goa in a place called Bogmalo. Dudhsagar waterfalls was around 75 Km from out resort and it took us almost 1.5 hours to reach the place via car. The place can also be accessed through train but we decided to go via car.

Dudhsagar Falls (literally Sea of Milk ) is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Madgaon-Belgaum rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgaum. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India’s tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m(1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).

This is the way you would have to cross in the 45 minutes long journey

Its not only those 1.5 hours, but the way to the falls is much more than I expected. After travelling by our car, we were dropped to a point from where only specific cars were allowed. The way to the fall was through the forest and the drivers of the cars were trained to drive through the not so good path and mini water falls that were a part of the forest. The total journey was for around 45 minutes and it was a pain for me as I had problem in my neck. The journey would not suit anyone who is having a problem in their neck or have a back problem as the way to the falls is terrifically bad.

Crossing the forest with tons of monkeys was a memorable experience

Even after the 45 minutes journey, it took us almost 30 minutes to reach the actual fall and the way for the same was again trough the forest. If you are planning to go to Dudhsagar waterfall, don’t forget to wear your shoes, as you would have to climb rocks to reach to the falls. I was not actually aware about the path and so I was in sandals, but that was not a very great idea.

The water was too cold

The ticket for the fall is a bit pricey and it costs Rs 400 for one person. An additional fees of Rs 20 per person is also taken in between the journey. If you are carrying a camera with you, prepare to spend an 30 for your camera. In the beginning of the journey each one of the passenger is given a life jacket which comes handy if one is planning to get into the water, but as we didn’t go in the waters, the life jacket was nothing more than an additional luggage for us.

Coming to the outfit I wore for the trip, it was hot and humid and I wanted to wear something comfortable and flowy and so I wore a blue colored palazzo pants and a matching colored t-shirt with comfortable sandals. I choose long chandelier earrings to spice up my not so glamorous outfit.

Though the journey to reach the place was a hectic one, but at the end everything was worth the efforts. Though the journey was adventurous, it is not really advisable for elderly people or people with not so good health conditions.
