NYX Cosmetics has been a brand that always fascinated me since it was not even launched in India. I always got attracted towards the variety and colors of makeup products they had to offer. So, when the brand launched in India a few years ago, I knew that I want to try a lot of things. Unfortunately, after trying a few products from the brand I have developed a love-hate relationship with the brand. I am not a fan of all of their products, some products I love while some I completely dislike.
Today I will be sharing my experience with ‘NYX Liquid Lipstick Seduction’. The NYX Lip Lingerie collection has some stunning shades and most of the people on the internet love the formula and so I too bought one of the shades from the collection to try. Packaging:
These Lip Lingerie lipsticks comes in a sleek round, transparent plastic tube with a black colored screw on cap. The packaging is nothing fancy but the sleekness of the tube makes them look nice on the vanity. The lid of the lipstick closes nicely making it a travel friendly product. The applicator is a regular doe foot applicator attached to the lid. The lipstick does not come with any outer box, all you have is a plastic layer around the tube which seals the tube.
My Experience with NYX Liquid Lipstick Seduction:
NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick is a collection of liquid lipsticks containing a majority of n*de shades. I always wanted to try the formula as the product had great online reviews. But, due to the limited shade range available in India, I never ordered it until a few days back when there were a lot more shades available. The color I selected is called ‘Seduction’ as it was a peachy n*de and it was amongst the very few shades which I assumed would suit my skin tone.
To be very honest, I am really happy with the way the color looks on me. It is an everyday kind of shade that works well with any kind of look. If you are a fan of peachy shades but also want something on the neutral side, then this is the color for you. Now, though it is an everyday color I don’t like to use it on a daily basis. The reason for that is the formula.
When initially applied, the texture is super smooth and the lipstick glides on smoothly giving an opaque color in just one swipe. The problem arises when you eat/drink something. The lips become kind of sticky after eating. I remember having a coffee and after a couple of sips, I started feeling uncomfortable on the lips. So, I decided to take off my lipstick and when I tried removing the lipstick with a tissue, the tissue paper got stuck to my lips and it became even more difficult to take the lipstick as well as the tissue off my lips.
If you don’t eat or drink something, then the staying power of the lipstick is a decent 4 hours, but after eating it is altogether another experience.
Overall Experience:
I personally am not a fan of this formula. The shade is beautiful and it does initially feels good on the lips, but I am not fond of sticky lips and this made my lips wierdly sticky for food and tissue. These liquid lipsticks are availble in some beautiful shades, but I guess this is not a product for me.

- The color is beautiful
- It is very smooth and easy to apply
- Safe to travel with
- It is a vegan product
- Excellent product line especially if you are a fan of neutral/N*de lipsticks
- Lightweight formula
- Do not dry lips
Cons of NYX Liquid Lipstick Seduction:
- Not so amazing staying power
- The formula is kind of sticky, especially after a meal
- Not a great formula for re application (you have to remove the previous layer of lipstick in order to apply a fresh one)
