Accessorize Obsessed Dinky Dainty Lipstick

How are you all doing……Today I will be writing about a tiny lipstick from accessorize. The lipstick is called dinky dainty lipstick. It is a unique name for a lipstick collection and its size is unique too. It is a tiny sized lipstick with amazingly beautiful packaging. The lipstick is even smaller than my smallest finger. Initially I thought that it is a sample size product but the site I bought it from did not have any other size so i am assuming that this is the only size available.

Price:  £3.00, but in India it costs around Rs 675 (which is way too huge for such a tiny product). Thankfully I brought it on a huge discount of more than 50%

My take on the product:

Packaging: The packaging of the first and the only thing that attracted me. I go crazy about cute looking stuff and this happened with this lipstick too. I brought this lipstick online and as the picture was zoomed it, the only thing I was able to see was the cute packaging and the color. These lipsticks come in different designs, and the one I have has a dark blue colored case with floral design all over the case. The case also has a cute looking owl on it. The lid of the lipstick has a small hole which can be used to attach it to any key chain

Color & Pigmentation: When I bought this lipstick I was looking for a neutral color which I could use daily and so I selected this color. It is basically a nude shade with pink undertones. The color looks beautiful on lips but it might not be visible on pigmented lips. Despite of being a light shade, the color is well pigmented and becomes visible on a single coat.  I personally prefer applying 2 coats to make it look glossier.

Texture & Staying power: The lipstick is really smooth to apply and glides on like butter, it’s very moisturizing too. But the thing I am not happy with is the staying power. The lipstick is super creamy and this is the main reason of its low staying power. The lipstick cannot stand even a single lightest meal nor does it stay for more than 2 hours. The color is too light to stain lips and hence once the color is gone, there is nothing left on the lips.

Another problem that I face with this lipstick is that after 2 hours, when it is completely gone from my lips, it leaves a line on the junction where both the lips meet. I am not sure that am I the only one who faces this problem or there are some more girls, but I personally hate having that kind of line

Fragrance: I am not very fond of fragranced products especially because some of the products have the weirdest smells, but some products smell amazing and this is one of those. The lipstick smells like vanilla dipped in butter and I always feel like eating it, but unfortunately I can’t do that as it doesn’t taste as good as it smells:-)

Overall, for me it is an average product. It is good, smooth, soft, moisturizing & pigmented too, but on the other hand it is very pricy for such a small amount especially with such a low staying power.

Pros:

• Beautiful packaging
• Good pigmentation
• Super creamy, glides very smoothly
• Smells great
• Feels light on lips
• Gives a natural pink flush to the lips
• Travel friendly (can easily slip into the tiniest purse, or can even be attached with keys)

Cons:

• Too pricy for such a small quantity
• Low staying power
• Leaves a mark on the lips

Would I buy this product again?

No….I would not buy this product again, I would have not brought it in the first chance, if I would have been aware about the tiny size.

Do I recommend this?

No! It’s too pricy to be good. I cannot recommend buying a lipstick for Rs 675 that doesn’t stay long and which is smaller than even the smallest finger in our handsJ
