Packaging: The polish comes in a small cylindrical bottle with a black colored cap. The brush attached to the cap has wide bristles which help to apply the color easily without much effort.

Color: The color of the polish is similar to its name. It is a red colored polish with orange undertones. The color is completely free of shimmers and looks beautiful on hands. Red is a traditional color and thus goes very well with many different Indian outfits.

Pigmentation: The color is nicely pigmented. A single swipe does impart a good amount of color on to the nails without being streaky, but it does not become completely opaque in one swipe. Also a single swipe does not product the color from fading for 2-3 days. I personally like to apply 2 coats of the color.

Texture: The polish has a glossy texture which makes it look even prettier. The company claims this to be a chip resistant formulation which is true at least for 2-3 days, after which the color might start to chip. The color does not chip or fades majorly for 2-3 days, but yes some little fading might be seen near the top edge of the nail.

Drying time: This is a plus point with this shade. The color dries within a minute which saves time while applying the second coat. The second coat might take a little more time as compared to the first one, but it still dries pretty fast.

Staying Power: The color stays well for 2-3 days, but in the situation where the hands come into contact with water very often, the color might start fading earlier.

What I liked About Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish:  Keep –up-the-Flame:

  • Affordable
  • A pretty red that makes my hand look fairer
  • Non shimmery
  • Does not stain nails
  • Does not chip or fade
  • Dries fast
  • Non-streaky even after the first coat
  • Glossy finish

What I didn’t like About Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish:  Keep –up-the-Flame:

At this price range, I don’t think that I can ask for anything else, but I would have loved to have a little more staying power

    1. oh..thats great…i brought this last summer but didn’t use it much…but now i know that i have an affordable alternative to a nice red 🙂

    1. i haven’t tried stamping them, but if they stamp well, then they are a really good and cheap alternative to the small stamping colors 🙂
