MAC’s Alluring Aquatic collection Review and Swatches

Today I will be sharing with you all some of my favorite products from MAC. These products are not from the regular line of MAC, but they are limited collection products. Few months back MAC launched their Alluring aquatic collection. The best thing about this collection was its packaging; the packaging was the first thing that attracted me. The collection was initially launched in the US and I saw it initially on Youtube and when I came to know that it has been launched in India I went to the store in the afternoon of the same day when it was launched and surprisingly majority of the collection was already sold out. I was lucky enough to grab the lip color that I wanted and I also picked up some other products. Here are the pictures and swatches of the products that I got.

1. Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in the shade Fathoms Deep

Qty: 1.3 gm

Price: Rs 1500

There were 6 eyeshadow shades that were launched in the collection and all of the 6 shades were beautiful. All the shads were available when I went to the store but as these were pricy I decided to buy just one shade. The shade I got, called the Fathoms Deep is a deep purple color with loads of shimmer. The packaging, formulation, smoothness, Pigmentation, Staying Power and anything else one can think of is amazing. It is a perfect shade for creating a purple smoky eye.

2. Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in the shade Black Swan

Qty: 1.2 gm

Price: Rs 1250

This is one of the two eyeliners that were launched in the collection. Black Swan is grey black eyeliner with loads of shimmers in it. The liner is smudge proof and stays on the lids for long time. Its shimmers and long staying power makes it party appropriate. I personally avoid using this for regular use, as the shimmers can be a pain to remove.

3. Matte Lipstick in the shade Enchanted One

Qty: 3gm

Price: Rs 1350

Enchanted one is one of the best nude lipsticks I have ever tried. The color is perfect to use every day or to use with a smoky eye. The lipstick is matte but does not feel dry on the lips. It might accentuate the lines on the lips but when a lip balm is used no lines are seen. Its formulation makes it a long staying product. This was the product that the SA was having on her lips and after seeing her I knew that I want this color.

4. Lip Glass in the shade Water Deities

Qty: 3gm

Price: Rs 1350

This was another product that the SA had on her lips. The shade water Deities in another nude colored gloss that works perfectly with the lipstick Enchanted one. The lipglass is full of shimmers and is sufficient to spice up any lip color. This works well over a lipstick or can be applied on its non. Its non sticky and light formula makes this my most loved product.

 

The collection had many things like blushes and compacts but unfortunately everything was sold out so I wasn’t able to get my hand on them. Here is the pick of the complete collection 🙂
