L’Oreal Paris Pure Reds Color Riche Collection Star Lipsticks: Pure Vermeil

Recently L’Oreal came out with this awesome collection of lipsticks called ‘The color Riche Collection Star Lipsticks pure reds’ which contains 7 different shades of red inspired by beautiful ladies from Hollywood and bollywood. All the 7 colors in the collection are beautiful but as they were pricey I just bought 2 of these. The one I will be reviewing today is called Pure Vermeil and the other one I have is called Pure Rough which have already been reviewed (L’Oreal Paris Pure Red in Pure Rouge)

Product Description:

My take on the product:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black packaging with a small colored square on the base; the colored block indicates the color of the lipstick which helps to identify the lipstick color without actually opening the lid. The packaging is sturdy and safe to travel with.

Color: Pure Vermeil is a true bright red unlike Pure Rouge that was a deeper red. The shade looks beautiful on the lips and its orange undertone makes it even more flattering. The color does not have any shimmer and is appropriate for day time as well. Though it is a bright shade it in not so difficult to wear.

Pigmentation: The shade is highly pigmented; a single swipe of the color is sufficient opaque color to the lips.

Texture: The color dries matte on the lips which makes it a little drying on the lips. To avoid this I would suggest moisturizing the lips before applying this color. Otherwise the lipstick is easy to work with. It does not glide on smoothly but is not very difficult either.

Staying Power: Usually matte lip colors stays for a longer time and hence the staying power of this color is good too. It can easily stay upto 7 hours with minor fading. The color can also withstand a full meal. The color is transferable, which is the major cause of fading.

Pros:

• Beautiful color that will look good on everyone
• Stays for a long time
• Elegant and sturdy packaging
• No shimmers
• Good pigmentation
• Color block on the packaging helps in easy recognition of the shade
• Has a mild fragrance which does not linger for long

Cons:

• Little pricy
• Can be drying on lips

Swatches: 

I completely recommend this product as this is a wearable shade with all the good qualities of pigmentation and staying power. I might not buy this color again but I would like to buy at least two more from the collection.
