New launches always excite us! Isn’t it? So when L’Oreal launched their new shampoo I knew I have to try this one. Generally, I use shampoos from their professional range as the experiences with their normal range were not at all pleasant. Still, I thought I should give a try so I bought ‘L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo’. Let’s see how it fared on me.
For the first time, L’Oreal Paris laboratories have infused the extraordinary power of pure clay in a shampoo.

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
This shampoo comes in a matte light green colored bottle and the cap is sturdy too. But I am not sure it will prevent spillage or not during traveling. The bottle is also a bigger one so it is bulky for travel purpose. Nothing fancy in the packaging and I liked the clean simple packaging of this shampoo.
The color of the shampoo is pearly white and it is neither very runny nor very thick in texture. Surprisingly the smell of the shampoo is fruity which I don’t like. The smell is good but I prefer some warm or floral smell in my shampoos. It lathers very easily and cleans the hair thoroughly without much trouble.
It says it is suitable for oily scalp and dry end! That’s the main reason I have picked this. My hair is exactly of that type and earlier no shampoo claimed to be exactly suitable for that type of hair. So I was very much excited about this. But wait! It made severe hair fall! I have stopped using this after 2-3 washes and I not really dare enough to start using it again. It may not cause hair fall to everyone but for my case it caused!
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
- sturdy packaging
- lathers very well
- Texture is good
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo:
- Strong fruity smell though it doesn’t linger much after washing
- Didn’t make the hair shiny or whatever you want
- Made severe hair fall in case of mine!
I am not going to use this again and I already stopped using this as it caused severe hair fall. It also didn’t give a bounce or shine to my hair. Instead made it more lifeless and frizzy. So I am back to my L’Oréal professional shampoos again and I am happy with them only.
