Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shocking Pink

Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons as obvious by the name, are regular lip crayons but they are very tiny in size (especially as compared to some other crayon products available in the market). The full crayon is just the size of my longest finger, which is kind of ok considering the price range of the product. The lip crayons are affordable but can’t be considered super cheap. The crayons have a black lid which securely covers the tip of the crayon and is sturdy to travel with.

Each lip crayon comes with a separate sharpener, which means that the crayons are non-retractable.

My Take on Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shocking Pink:

Shocking pink is shade number 07 and is one of the 4 pinks available in the range. For me, Shocking pink is the easiest to wear. It is neither too bright nor too light. The shade shocking pink can work well for daily office wear or can also be used with an intense smoky eye.

The color is decently pigmented, in fact, it has better pigmentation than some other lighter shades from the collection. But, unfortunately, the staying power of the color is same as all the other shades. The color does stay well for 3-4 hours but it cannot survive a meal. Thankfully the shade is easy to reapply and it does leave a light stain after meals.

Overall Thoughts:

Out of all the 10 shades, ‘shocking pink’ is one of my favorites. I do like the fact that it can be worn at almost any time and by anyone. I only wish that these products were retractable. Yes, they do come with a sharpener, but sharpening the pencil wastes a lot of product and I am usually too lazy to sharp my lippies.

Pros of Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shocking Pink:
  • Affordable
  • Beautiful, easy to wear color
  • Leaves a slight stain, even after a meal
  • Easy to reapply
  • Each crayon comes with a free sharpener
  • The outer cover of the crayon is a colored sticker, representing the actual color of the crayon. This makes it easy to grab the desired color without much searching.
Cons of Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shocking Pink:
  • Not so amazing staying power
  • Non-Retractable
  • Transferable

  1. Hi Dear,

Read your review. I found it very useful ,as I recently brought one Lip crayon of Lakme with shade 09 Cinnamon Brown (I got it on discounted price as nykaa sale was going on ) . I didn’t got any sharpener with it, So was thinking that this is very less quantity for a lip crayon.
So far I used it only once and the lipstick stays only for 3-4 hours .
Will definitely try this shocking pink shade as well !!!!

    1. When these crayons were launched, Lakme said that the sharpener would be for limited time only, but I got a free sharpener even after 4-5 months of their launch. Lakme might have discontinued the sharpener. And true, the quantity of the product is very less as compared to many other brands but if bought on discount (as you did), it still is pretty affordable. I personally didn’t like the shade Cinnamon Brown, as it does not show up on my lips much, but Shocking pink is comparatively better for me. You can check out the post for swatches of all the 10 shades.
      Thanks for visiting.
