Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Lipstick in the shade Pink Power Review and Swatches

Today I will write about the final product from my Lakme 9 to 5 Haul and the product I have today is Lakme’s 9 to 5 crease-less lip color in the shade Pink Power.

My take on the product:

I wanted to try one of these lipsticks since the first time I saw its TV commercial. I really got attracted by the fact that these are crease less lipsticks and would stay for a long time, but I wasn’t really sure about getting this as I somehow am not very fond of Lakme products. But finally when I brought other Lakme 9 to 5 stuff, I ordered this too. The lipstick comes packed in a pink colored box and the lipstick itself has a beautiful rose gold colored packaging.  Packaging wise the lipstick looks beautiful. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly too.

The shade Pink Power is a bright pink colored lipstick with minute sized silver shimmer particles. Though it belongs to the 9 to 5 range which is supposed to be office appropriate, I found this shade to be a little too bright for office use. Though it is a beautiful color but the shimmers and the shade itself are a little loud for office. Another thing that the company claims is that these lipsticks are crease less, but I did not find this color working on me. Firstly to flaunt this color, the lips need to be properly exfoliated and moisturized else, they may appear chapped. Secondly the color did crease a bit in the inner part of my lips and unfortunately it accentuated the fine lines on my lips too.

Before using this lipstick I did apply a bit of lip balm but still when the lipstick started to fade, my lips started feeling dry. The lipstick is not exactly matte, but still it feels drying on lips. The color stays for a decent amount on time on lips without a meal but is transferable and so starts fading whenever the lips touch something. Another thing that I didn’t like about this lipstick is its weird smell. The smell does go off after application, but I personally hated the smell it has.

Overall personally for me this was nothing more than a pretty pink which I would not like to repurchase. The formula did not work for me, but as I have heard some good reviews about some other colors of this line, I might think of trying one more shade from this line.

Would I buy this product again?

Not this color for sure, but to give this line another chance, I would definitely try at least one more color.

Do I recommend this?

The formula of the lipstick did not work for me and so I would not recommend this.
