Kay Beauty Matteinee Matte Lipstick Entourage Review

At the beginning of the year 2020, Katrina Kaif introduced her makeup line which was exclusive for Nykaa. In the initial few months, the brand did not have much variety of products but as time passed, new products were introduced. I have been willing to try a few products from Kay Beauty since January, and a couple of weeks back, I finally made my order. Today’s review would be about ‘Kay Beauty Matte Lipstick Entourage’.

Lipsticks are one of the makeup products which I gravitate towards the most especially if they look good and have a variety of colors and Kay Beauty Matteinee Matte Lipsticks have both. Another plus being the price range, which is affordable irrespective of whatever product you choose.

Packaging:

The Matteinee Matte Lipsticks from Kay Beauty comes in a retractable crayon form. The crayon is the same color as that of the actual product whereas the lid and the bottom section of the crayon is white in color. The colored section of the crayon has a very interesting pattern (denoting K) which can be seen in all Kay beauty products. The outer box has the same color combination, white and the second color denoting the color of the product inside.

The thing that I loved most about the packaging is, that even though the crayon comes inside a cardboard box, it still is packed sealed with a plastic cover that needs to be removed in order to use the product.

My Experience with Kay Beauty Matte Lipstick Entourage:

Color and Pigmentation: The shade Entourage is a bright Pink Lipstick which on my lips looks very similar to MAC Relentlessly Red, Entourage being a little on the pink side. The shade has great pigmentation, and just one swipe can give fully opaque lips.

Texture: Kay Beauty Matteinee Matte Lipsticks are not the creamiest lipsticks to apply, but they do not feel dry on the lips. The formula of the lipstick is completely transfer-proof and it feels light on the lips.

Staying Power: As the lipstick is budge-proof, it can easily stay up to 4-5 hours without smudging or fading. It can withstand a light meal, but a heavy oily meal can make the color fade from the inner sections of the lips.

Overall Verdict:

I am impressed with the formulation, the color Entourage, the staying power as well as the packaging. There is nothing more I could have asked for in a 800 bucks lipstick.

I do recommend the lipstick 100%. If you are not a pink lipstick person then you can go for any color you desire, the brand have some amazing shades to choose from.

The only con I can think of is that the lipstick (and even the entire collection) is Nykaa Exclusive. It is only available on the Nykaa website or Nykaa stores. So, if someone does not have access to Nykaa stores, then they might have difficulty in buying the Kay Beauty products.
