It’s scorching hot these days in Delhi. Though there has been some rainfall in few parts of the city but the mercury is not ready to fall. In such high temperatures, it becomes almost impossible to go out and shop. I am a shopaholic and due to the excessive heat I am unable to go out, so I am constantly shopping online. My favorite stuff to shop is cosmetics and skin care and nothing feels better than finding a new cosmetic shopping destination. Yes, there is a new cosmetic website in the market which sells beauty products not only for ladies but they do have a huge collection of men and baby stuff.

The startup website is called Aplava.com.  When I first saw the name, I was curious to know the meaning of the word ‘Aplava’ and while I was scanning the site I came across the ‘About Aplava’ page where I got the meaning of the word. It says “Aplava derives its name from Sanskrit origins. Aplava (pronounced “AAp luv” in original Sanskrit) means taking a bath to purify oneself. It’s an ablution process of cleansing oneself.” Sounds interesting! Isn’t it?

So what all can you get at Aplava?

Aplava sells everything from skincare to makeup to baby stuff and men stuff. What’s exciting is that it does have a section for home stuff too.

What would I like to buy from Aplava.com

I am very impressed with the site and I almost wish to try everything especially products from some of the high-end brands such as Butter London, Natio, Thalgo, and O3+. But as it is summers, I usually do not apply much makeup and presently I do have stuff for my skin care needs. Then, what should I order from the site? Aplava has a huge collection of best eyeliner and kajal and I usually never go out without a liner and a kajal, so this is the place for me. Also, my mum is in urgent need for a good under eye cream and while surfing through Aplava I saw that they have a good collection of best creams for dark circles. This is not all, I am sure that my dad too would love to order something from the site.

How does it Work?

Unlike other sites, Aplava has a personalized algorithm that works according to your needs and skin type; they call it as your beauty profile. All you would have to do is to enter your gender, date of birth and skin type. In skin type, you will be asked some questions regarding your skin and acne situation which will help the algorithm to work properly and suggest better products for your skin type. And here you are done with the registration process. Once done, you will be flooded with the type of products that will work best for your skin type.  You can select and order the desired product which does not take more than 3-4 days to reach you.

Shipping Policy:

Aplava provides free on orders of Rs. 999 & above. Below that amount, fixed Delivery charges of Rs 50 is applicable per order. They do have a great return/exchange policy. All the details about their policies can be found on the bottom bar of the site.
