Stila Convertible Color Peony

Stila Convertible Color Peony: Review

Mercury has started to drop in Delhi and with the cold weather comes dry skin. I love to apply makeup whenever I go out but powder products tend to make my skin dry during winters. I do apply loads of moisturizer underneath which makes me look oily sometimes. This is when cream products come to the rescue. Though I am not a cream product fan and so I don’t own many of them but I do have some which I use regularly during winters. Today I will be sharing my views about ‘Stila Convertible Color Peony’ which is a cream product marketed as a multi-use product that can be used both on cheeks as well as lips.

Packaging:

The blush comes in a round pan with a pinky rose gold kind of container. The inner section of the lid contains a full-size mirror which is always a plus. The container shuts tight with a click which makes the product travel-friendly. The sleek size of the container makes it easy to throw in the product in a handbag and it does not occupy much space.

My Experience with Stila Convertible Color Peony:

It has been almost two years since I got this product, but I didn’t use it much in the first year as I wasn’t into cream products. This year when I was searching for something different to try as my blush, I came across this baby lying at the very end of my vanity. I thought of giving this a try.

I always assumed that applying cream blushes is kind of difficult, which is apparently not true. Stila Convertible Color is super easy to use and the product blends effortlessly. The shade I have is called Peony which is a very neutral easy to wear kind of shade. Peony is a shade that goes well with any kind of look and is perfect for everyday wear. It is not a bright, on the face blush, but it does give a nice glow to the cheeks.

Being a cream product, it does sometimes make me look greasy on the cheeks but it usually happens after 3-4 hours of application. If I set the blush with a powder blush on top, this time extends one hour further.

Stila Convertible Color is not just a blush, but it can be used on the lips too. The product is creamy and makes the lips feel soft, but as the shade Peony is a natural looking color, it does not impart much color to my lips, it just gives them a good shine. I personally don’t like to use this as a lip product, but if you like, this can be used on the lips.

Final Verdict:

The product is not very easily available in India, though it is available in Sephora’s in India, but it is hard to find the product online. I do like the product would love to try some more shades from the range. As this is the only cream blush I own, I can’t compare it to other cream blushes in the market, but I am sure that there would be many cream blushes that are available at a fraction of the price.
