Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio in Vignette

Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio Vignette Review and Swatches

Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio Vignette

Getting a chance to try makeup products that are not easily available in India always makes me happy. I never tried any product from ‘Smashbox’ until my cousin bought me this eyeshadow trio, along with tons of other products as my wedding gift. Today after using the shade for almost 6 months I am ready to share my views about the ‘Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio Vignette’.

Price: $28 for 2.76 gm of product (Prices vary for different shades on Amazon.com)

My take on Smashbox Eyeshadow Trio Vignette:

Packaging: As seen in the pictures, these eyeshadow trios from Smashbox comes in a circular packaging. The shade Vignette contains a sparkly shade with 2 matte ones. The lid of the shadow is transparent making it easy to recognise the colours without opening. The lid is sturdy enough to make the trio travel-friendly. The trio does not come with a brush or a mirror.

Color and Pigmentation: The 3 shades in the trio Vignette are: Parfait, Amethyst, and Aubergine. Amethyst is the shimmery shade and the rest two are matte. Being a purply coloured trio, this is not something that you can use daily, but the colour selection in the trio makes it appropriate for creating day to night looks. The pigmentation of all the 3 colours in the trio is phenomenal. It is one of the best-pigmented trios of my eyeshadow collection. It not only comes as pigmented in one swipe, the colours actually deliver the same pigmentation on the lids too. Remember to use a lighter hand while picking up the darkest colour as it might become too much to blend.

Texture and Blend-ability:

All the 3 colours are buttery smooth to touch. The shimmer particles in the shimmery shadow are finely melted making it buttery smooth too. The colours not only blend amazingly with each other, they also perform well with shadows from other brands.

Staying Power:

I used the shadows over Urban Decay primer and the combination worked perfectly. The colours might start losing their intensity after some hours of application but they stay put until you actually remove them. The colours did not crease on me nor did they had any fallout during application.

Would I buy this product again?

I would love to try some other shades from the range but buying this particular colour again won’t happen as it would take me ages to finish this one.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! I loved this product. Though I am not sure about the other shades from the range but Vignette is a beautiful one.

  1. What a nice gift! Fun you got to give this a try despite not having it in India. It’s wonderful that the product turned out to be such a good one for you too, hopefully you find the same results with the other shades if you get to try them too.

Hope you are having a wonderful week 🙂
