NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Twilight Tint: Review

A couple of months back, NYX completed their first year in India for which they introduced a bunch of new products on Nykaa. One of the products was their illuminating powders which are available in 5 different shades. The shade that I bought and the one that I’ll be talking about today is ‘NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Twilight Tint’.

Diwali is just 2 days away and for me, the upcoming months are full of wedding invitations. I love getting dressed up and trying different makeup looks but a bling dress is incomplete without a bright strong highlighter. I do have many highlighters but somehow highlighters still attract me. After seeing NYX highlighters online, I wanted to try few different shades but I restricted myself to get only Twilight Tint.

All the 5 shades available in the collection are tinted. The shade Twilight Tint seems to be the most subtle one and looks pearly white in the pan. But when observed carefully, pecks of blue particles can be seen.

Packaging:

NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Twilight Tint comes in a round plastic container with a round pan. No outside box is present with the container. The lid of the product is transparent and pretty sturdy. It shuts with a click and is super convenient to travel with.All the details about the ingredients are mentioned on the back of the container.

I am not sure whether all the products from NYX cosmetics are made in China or not, but the one I have says that it is ‘Made in China’ which makes me doubt the authenticity of the product. But I do trust Nykaa and I hope that the product I have is original.

My experience with NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Twilight Tint:

As I mentioned earlier, I do have many highlighters but I certainly do not have anything like this one. Twilight Tint is a blue-based highlighter which gives a beautiful blue-green glow to the cheeks. At first, it might seem weird to use a blue highlighter but the color looks absolutely stunning with any makeup look and with anything I wear, be it an Indian outfit or a western one.

Twilight Tint is intensely pigmented, one swipe from the pan gives the glow, but as I sometimes like to make it a little more intense, I use two coats of the product.

Small pecks of glitter can be seen in the pan, but when applied on the skin, no particle is visible. The only thing that is visible is the intense shine. The particles are finely melted into the product to give the product a soft silky texture.

Staying power of the highlighter is also pretty good. The shine stays put for more than 4 hours. It might not be as intense at the end of 4 hours, but the shine is still there.

Overall Experience:

I love NYX products and NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Twilight Tint has become one of my go-to highlighters. This is the only highlighter I am using since the day I bought this.

I know that the product is meant for highlighting but I can’t wait to try it as an all over powder. I would love to be a blue disco ball for once!
