Maybelline Foundation Brush

Maybelline Foundation Brush, Review

Today’s review would be about Maybelline Foundation Brush. I wasn’t actually aware of the fact that Maybelline has brushes until I saw this one while randomly surfing Nykaa. I usually do not write much about makeup tools or brushes on my blog because this is one department I do not experiment much with. I especially do not buy brushes for my base much as I usually never get satisfied with the majority of the ones I try. But the price range of the brush made me curious to try this one. Let’s see how this one worked for me.

Maybelline Foundation Brush

Price: INR 499 (BUY HERE)

Product Description:

Maybelline New York Master Foundation Brush is specially designed to fit the contours of the face and to create a flawless finish. The satin-soft fibers help to retain the shape without splaying or fraying.

Features:

  • Densely packed flat top foundation brush featuring satin soft fibers
  • The flat design provides excellent coverage and precision
  • Distributes the product evenly over skin, offering an airbrushed finish
  • This brush can be used with both liquid and cream based foundations
Packaging:

Unlike the way many other brushes are packed, this brush has a proper cardboard box of its own. The brush itself looks kind of fancy with black handle and white and black bristles. One of the reason of me buying the brush was also the way it looked and I am glad that I decided to try this one.

My Experience with Maybelline Foundation Brush:

Maybelline Foundation Brush is a flat top brush with synthetic fibers. The bristles of the brush are very densely packed which makes product application easier. I have tried this brush with a liquid foundation as well as with a regular bb cream and it works well with both. I do not use cream foundations, but the company claims the brush performs equally well with that as well.

The bristles of the brush are super soft and they do not absorb too much of product. This leads to saving not only a lot of product but also a considerable amount of application time. The company claims that the brush can offer an airbrushed finish, but I won’t actually say that. The brush certainly makes any foundation looks beautiful on the skin without leaving any stork marks, but the finish is not exactly airbrushed.

Nykaa’s website has an expiry date mentioned for the brush, but I am not too sure about the expiry of the brushes. Do brushes actually expire or do they just lose their bristles and become useless? I have washed the brush a couple of times now and none of the bristles have actually shed.

Overall Verdict:

Overall, I won’t say that this is the best foundation brush I have ever tried, but it is one of the very few brushes that I actually liked for my foundation. The brush is affordable and easy to clean. It is super soft and do not leave stroke marks. For the price range, it is certainly a good buy.

Pros of Maybelline Foundation Brush:
  • Affordable
  • Easy to use and clean
  • Do not loose bristles while cleaning
  • Do not absorb a lot of product
  • The actual brush and the packaging looks fancy
  • Easily available
  • Works well on the skin and gives a beautiful finish to any type of foundation
Cons of Maybelline Foundation Brush:

There is nothing bad to say about the brush.
