I am not big on eye makeup except for mascara and I guess this is the only eyeshadow palette I own. So buying ‘Maybelline Color Sensational Eyeshadow Palette Topaz Gold’ was a good idea as it has all the colors you will need especially for the wedding season.

Packaging:
The eyeshadow palette comes in a black box. When opened, it reveals the unique shape of the palette. It has a clear lid. It doesn’t come with a mirror which is a con for me. But it does come with a dual-ended sponge applicator (does anyone still uses these?). There are five eyeshadow colors in shapes like diamonds. The packaging is travel-friendly and the tiny palette can be carried everywhere easily.
My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Eyeshadow Palette Topaz Gold:
Formulation: The eyeshadows are smooth in texture which glides easily on the eyelids. The shadows are very easy to blend and they don’t look chalky. They feel quite light and don’t settle into fine lines.
Pigmentation: Honestly, love the pigmentation of the shimmery shades but not super impressed with the pigmentation of the black shade. One swipe of the shimmery shades is enough and is easily buildable but one swipe of the black is not enough.
Longevity: I was impressed by the staying power of the shadows. They stayed for a good 6 hours. However, the staying power can be improved if used with an eyeshadow base.
Colors:
Metallic Gold- The diamond shaped eyeshadow is this one. It is also the biggest shade. It is a beautiful gold shade.
Pearly Beige- This is a peachy cream shade with a pearly sheen making it the perfect shade to highlight the brow bone and the inner corners.
Shimmery Champagne- It looks like a peachy gold shade in the palette but on application only appears to shimmer. Tip-use this shade with a damp brush on top of a darker shade.
Metallic Olive- A dark olive green shade with a shimmery metallic finish. It contains gold shimmers which add a beautiful shine to the shade.
Matte Black- It is the only Matte eyeshadow in the palette. The color needs to be layered for complete color coverage.
