Hello Beautiful Ladies,
On Friday, I posted an article showing all the makeup revolution lipsticks I have and swatched them. From today onwards, I will be reviewing each shade one by one. I showed 9 lipsticks in my post (You can read the post HERE), one of which called Divine has already been reviewed earlier (Read HERE). Today I will be reviewing the lightest shade from my collection which is called ‘The One’.

Don a striking and stunning look with this ‘The One Amazing’ lipstick from the house of Makeup Revolution London. This lipstick ensures a long-lasting luster and color. This lipstick will lend you soft, smooth and supple lips.
The lipsticks come packed in an all black packaging with a color indicator attached to the top of the lid. The color indicator is the exact representation of the color of the lipstick. The color indicator is not fixed with the lipstick and it can be removed from the lid, but I personally prefer to keep it attached to the lid, as it really helps to recognize the color without opening the lid.
The lid of the lipstick closes with a click, but unfortunately, the click is not very strong. Though it seems safe to travel with, little extra care must be taken while carrying this lipstick inside the bag, as there are chances that the lipstick might get open.
My take on Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick The One:
Makeup Revolution Lipsticks come in a variety of shades ranging from lightest nudes to deepest plums, and most of them different in formulation. Some of the lipsticks are creamy while some others which are matte formula are not so creamy. Some make the lips feel good, while some make them look awful. But overall, considering the price of the lipsticks, for me, these lipsticks are good, not extremely wonderful but not bad either.
Now coming back to the shade ‘The One’, it is a very light nude colored lipstick with a lustrous shine. The lipstick does not contain any kind of shimmer particles, but it is so creamy that it has a shine of its own.
The color looks fine in the bullet but on lips, it comes out to be very light. It is decently pigmented, but the shade itself is so light that it can go almost unnoticeable on pigmented lips. But on lesser pigmented lips, it might work fine. Though the color is such that it can make you look lifeless like a zombie, but thanks to its shine it does not do so. The color is not only perfect for everyday use but can work pretty well with a dark smoky eye too.
The color might look streaky in the first layer, but when applied properly with 2-3 layers it works fine. One thing that is to be taken care with this particular color is that you need to have perfect lips as the color tends to accentuate the flaws on the lips. The color is super creamy and is thus easily transferable too. This is the reason that the color does not stay for too long on the lips.
The shade has a fruity fragrance which is not very strong and vanishes away once the color is applied on the lips. I personally like fruity fragrances and hence I don’t mind my lipstick having it until the time they not overpowering.
Pros of Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick The One:
- Pretty decently priced, works even well when it’s on discount J
- The lipstick has a color indicator at the top of the lid, which helps to recognize the shade without opening the lid
- Nice color for everyday use
- Super creamy
- No shimmers
- Has a glossy shine of its own, which prevents me looking like a zombie
- Has a nice fruity fragrance
Cons of Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick The One:
- Transferable, hence not so good staying power
- Too light for pigmented lips
- Appears streaky on initial application
- Not so travel-friendly
- No ingredient list
Would I buy this product again?
No! I don’t think that I’ll use this shade enough to finish this one, forget to buy another one.
Do I recommend this?
If you like such colors, you might try this, but otherwise, there are many other better color options to choose from.
