This particular lipstick collection from Lakme contains 15 shades ranging from a few reds, a few pinks and other browns and neutrals. Crimson Silk as can be assumed from the name is a red lipstick from the collection.

Packaging:
Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Lipsticks come in a beautiful golden colored cylindrical tube. The packaging works like every other lipstick in the market, but its sleek and sturdy packaging makes it stand out amongst all. Though the packaging looks beautiful it is not very convenient. To select the desired color if you have a bunch of these lipsticks is a hassle. The name of the shade is mentioned on the base of the tube but it has a very small font size and you might require some time to select the desired shade.
My Experience with Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color Crimson Silk:
Everything marketing strategy for this products revolves around the fact that the lipsticks contain Argan Oil which gives it a beautiful creamy texture. The claims of the brand about the lipstick giving a smooth moisturizing finish are completely true and thankfully this does not hinder with the pigmentation of the shade Crimson Silk. The shade Crimson Silk looks beautiful in the bullet.
The shade looks good on the lips too but I personally find it way too moisturizing to call it a lipstick. To me, it is more of an intensely pigmentated lip balm. The color has amazing pigmentation and one swipe gives fully opaque color. Now, the color does not stay put for a very long time and certainly cannot fully survive a heavy meal, but it is much better than some of the lighter shades of the collection. Moreover, it is super easy to reapply.
Overall Experience:
Overall I would say that I did like the shade Crimson Silk, it’s much better than some of the lighter counterparts. But, I found Ruby Velvet a little better than this one. There is not much difference between both the shades so I would not buy it again.

- Not much mentioned about the ingredients
- The all gold packaging makes it difficult to identify the required color from a bunch of similar lipsticks
- Average staying power

beautiful shade…lakme shade names are common across ranges..i have crimson silk from liquid mousse range 🙂
Not only their names, Lakme does not seem to experiment too much even with their color range 🙂
