Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque Review
When it comes to hair care products, we always want to use the best, right? Due to pollution and some internal problem, I was facing severe hair fall! So I really wanted to try something better. I have picked this Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque as this is suitable for all hair types and I thought it would make my hair become more manageable.
Price: 1350 INR for 75 ml (BUY HERE)
This hair masque comes in a golden colored tub packaging and though tub packaging is not that hygienic, I somehow love this tiny compact golden container. The black and golden combination on lid makes it more attractive and classy looking! The masque is heavy in texture so it doesn’t leak from the container, at least till now I have never faced such problem and also the lid is sturdy and shuts the container perfectly.
My Experience with Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque:
The masque is quite thick in texture and I need a very tiny amount of it at a time. This masque looks really yummy and just like rich butter! I am in love with its golden ivory color. Also, it smells quite different from as usual hair masques. I have sniffed so many times and the only smell I can recognize reminds me of cardamom! It spreads easily through the hair strands and I keep it for 2-3 minutes on my towel dried hair and then rinse it off.
It gets cleaned easily with plain water and it makes my hair soft, smooth, manageable and reduces frizz. But as it is a bit heavy duty masque, it doesn’t add volume to my hair and my thin hair feels weight down the next day after using this. So for me, it works, but partially. If I have to attend some program on that day, it keeps my hair fine. But my hair looks limp the next day! But this will work for very dry frizzy hair as it makes the hair slightly oily the next day.
Pros of Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque:
- Sturdy packaging
- Somehow I liked the smell
- A very little amount is required at a time
- Makes hair smooth, manageable and adds shine to hair
- Very good for dry, rough hair
Cons of Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque:
- Definitely pricey for a 75 ml product
- Didn’t reduce my hair fall
- My hair looks limp the next day
- May not suit very oily skin as it is quite heavy. But they can use this as a weekly masque!
Overall this is a good quality hair masque, but may not suit very oily hair well! But for very dry and frizzy hair it could a boon. If you are comfortable with the price tag it comes with, and if you have dull dry hair, you can try it.
