Huda Beauty Foundation: Review

If you are a beauty junkie like me, then you must be aware of the brand Huda Beauty. The brand was not available in India until it was launched on Nykaa. The brand has some amazing products but they are a little on the pricier side as compared to many other products available in the market. I was most excited to try the Huda Beauty Foundation and their liquid lipsticks but as they were pricey, it took me a while to order them. After waiting for a few months I finally ordered the ‘Huda Beauty Foundation and today I will be sharing my experience with the same.

My Experience with Huda Beauty Foundation:

As claimed by the company and raved about many you tubers, Huda Beauty Foundation is a full coverage foundation which gives a beautiful finish after application. It is called ‘Faux Filter Foundation’ and it does give a finish which seems to be a natural filter especially in pictures. The foundation is available in 30 shade options which are an excellent selection and is good for women of all skin colors.

The foundation can be applied with fingers, a brush or a makeup sponge. If applied using fingers, the foundation can be blended to give medium coverage. In order to get a full-coverage, a makeup brush or a beauty sponge is recommended. This is not my everyday foundation, hence I personally like to use a wet beauty sponge to apply the foundation. Just pump a few drops of foundation on the back of your hands, apply and blend it with a wet sponge and you are good to go. The finish looks absolutely beautiful and photo ready.

Staying power of the foundation is also amazing. I have tried the foundation for a good 8 hours and if you are not in 42 degrees, the foundations stay well without crusting. But in order to survive high temperatures, powdering a couple of times becomes necessary especially for ladies with oily skin.

Overall Experience:

I love this foundation. The shade I have is Macaroon 230N which unfortunately is not my summer shade. The shade is too light for me currently but it does work well in winters. I would totally recommend trying this foundation if you are looking for a high-end party kind of a foundation. But instead of buying it online (like I did), I would recommend you to go to the physical Nykaa store to select your shade.

Pros of Huda Beauty Foundation:
  • Full coverage foundation
  • Gives a beautiful filter like flawless finish to the skin
  • Stays for a good 8 hours
  • Available in a number of shade options
  • Paraben-free, Sulfate-free, Talc-free, Vegan, Gluten-free
  • Easy to apply and blends well
Cons of Huda Beauty Foundation:
  • Pricey
  • Might feel dry if you are a dry skin girl (a moisturiser becomes must in such situations)
  • Not available anywhere in India apart from Nykaa (both online and Nykaa luxe stores)

Rating: 4.5/5
