Colorbar Take me as I am Lipsticks: Flirtatious Pink, Mysterious Nude, Pure Coral Review and swatches

Hey Girls,

Today I will be sharing with you all, one of my favorite lip colors. It is not a traditional lipstick, but it is one of the jumbo pencil lip colors. The product I am talking about is ‘Colorbar Take me as I am Lipsticks’. I love the creaminess and the formulation of these lipsticks and so I have 3 shades from the 17 shades they launched. Initially, colorbar came up with just 8 shades years back and then they kept on adding new shades. Initially, the lipsticks were priced at Rs 750 which now has been raised up to Rs 900.

Product Description:

Take me as I am lip color is a unique multifunctional product which provides the application of a lipstick combined with the convenience of a pencil in a jumbo crayon design. It is extra creamy and soft feeling lipstick formula with excellent color payoff and coverage. Viscous oils and esters create the beautiful shine. Skin conditioning ingredients like Shea butter and vitamin E further enhance the comfortable wearing properties.DSC_0728

Packaging: These are jumbo pencil sticks which come in a black pencil with a colored base and black cap. Colored base helps to recognize the color of the lipstick without opening the cap.

Pigmentation: all the shades in this collection are highly pigmented and a single swipe does impart completely opaque color to the lips. But I personally like to have 2 coats of the color, in order to make them stay a little longer.

Texture: These lip pencils are amazingly soft and creamy to apply and its pencil form does not pose any problem while applying. They are very moisturizing too; they remove the need of applying a lip balm underneath the lip stick.

Staying Power: This is one of the major disadvantages of these lipsticks, they do not stay for a long time. Their creaminess makes them transferable and difficult to stay on the lips. The lipsticks stay for just around 2-3 hours. A meal can seriously hamper their staying power.

Color:

Flirtatious Pink

The collection has some beautiful pinks, and this is one of them. The shade is a subtle pink which also can be used for an everyday purpose. It is not a bright pink. The color looks much deeper in the pencil than it actually is, but on the lips, it comes out to be different and looks much better as compared to its pencil form.

Mysterious Nude

This color, as the name suggests is a nice nude color which is completely free of any kind of shimmers. It is a perfect color for girls who are looking for a lip color for daily use which will make them look presentable without looking too overdone. This is my go to color and is the only one that I have sharpened thrice.

Pure Coral

Pure Coral is a bright orange colored lipstick with minute golden colored sparkles. The sparkles do not seem very obvious on the lips, but it gives the color extra dimension and makes it look even brighter than it actually is. It is a perfect color for flaunting bold lips during a party. The color is a bit too bright for everyday use.DSC_0733

    1. true that they are super smooth and pencil form sometimes does bother me too, especially when i see the product getting wasted during sharpening 🙁

    1. thanks you charu 🙂 i like retractable pencils more than the one that require sharpening but the formulation of these dragged me to get 3 of them 🙂
