Blue Heaven Xpression Lipstick Sun Rise Orange: Review

Today I will be writing about a lipstick from the brand Blue Heaven. When I was a little girl I used to see this brand my local stores and I didn’t even use to consider it a brand, forget considering it a good one. But a few days back, I saw this brand on Jabong.com and I decided to try this. So I bought a set of 2 colors and the color I have today is called Sun Rise Orange.

My take on Blue Heaven Xpression Lipstick Sun Rise Orange:

This lipstick comes packed in a black colored box with the word ‘expression’ written on two of its side. The lipstick itself is golden colored which looks good until touched. The packaging might seem good but it is flimsy and the lid is loose too. Basically, the lipstick is not very safe to travel with.

The color Sun Rise orange is a bright orange colored lipstick which does not contain any shimmer particles. The color is very bright and bold and is not everyone’s cup of tea. Also, the color is certainly not an everyday color. The color looks great for parties with both Indian as well as western outfits. The lipstick though not very smooth to apply, but is still easy to apply. The formulation of the lipstick is a bit drying and a bit sticky too. Thus a lip balm must be applied under the lipstick. The lipstick is transferable too but as the color is very pigmented it takes a lot of time of time to fade. The color stays for a long time and it can even stand a full meal. After a full meal, the lipstick fades from the inner sections of the lips but remains on the outer lips. Though it is not the best thing, it at least does not leave the lips bare.

The lipstick does have some fragrance, but it goes away on the application. Another thing I like about this lipstick is that it makes me look fairer 🙂

Overall, it might not be the perfect lipstick formulation, but it is not bad for the price we have to pay for this. I do recommend these lipsticks for people who are looking for good pigmentation in affordable range and even I would love to try more shades from this brand 🙂
