Beauty UK Blush and Brush: Isla Rose Review and Swatch

Today I will be writing about a hot pink colored blush from the brand Beauty UK. I never heard about the brand till the time I received this beauty. I got this blush in my Fab bag few months back and since then I am in love with it. These blushes come in 3 different colors Isla Rose, Capital Pink and Rustic Peach and the one I have is called Isla Rose.

How to use: Make a fish face and using the brush, apply the blush to the apple of your face, blending the color along your cheekbone.

My take on the product:

Packaging: These blushes come in a black case with half transparent lid. This transparent section of the lid helps in the identification of the color without opening the box of the blush. The blush does not have any mirror inside but it does come with a little brush which might not be of any use in general application, but can come handy for touch ups. Overall the packaging is good, nothing very fancy but is decent and travel friendly.

Color: Isla Rose is a bright pink colored blush with minute size silver shimmer particles. Though the color seems to be very bright in the pan, it can be used to get a simple natural look as well as can be used to get a dramatic night look. As the color contains shimmers, I personally do not like to use it as my everyday color.

Pigmentation: The color is nicely pigmented and so care has to be taken while applying the color on the cheek. If a more natural look is what you desire, a very light hand must be used. A more dramatic look can be obtained by layering on few coats of the color.

Texture: the color might not feel very smooth when touched with fingers, and the main reason for that can be the little shimmer particles, but the color blends on smoothly giving the cheeks a pretty flawless glow. The shimmer particles help in giving that extra oomph factor to the look.

Staying Power: the color stays for a pretty long time on the cheeks. If applied with a very light hand, it does not stay for more than 3 hours but if applied in decent quantity, the color stays for upto 6 hours with some fading.

Overall, for the quality and the quantity that comes with the beautiful color, I loved the blush for this price range.

Pros:

• Beautiful color
• Contains shimmer particles which are very fine in size and helps to give a glowy finish to the cheeks
• The color is buildable
• Good pigmentation
• Good staying power
• Very easy to blend
• Not very pricy for the quantity
• Travel friendly packaging

Cons:

• There is nothing bad about this blush except the fact that it contains shimmers, which does not make it suitable for everyday application.

Swatch:

Would I buy this product again?

If I will ever be able to finish this color, I might buy it again, but as there are not many color options in this range, I might not buy any other color.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! I personally loved the blush and I do think that it is worth a try!
